TechnoratiWishlist feature now available
We have now released the Wishlist feature. This is for members to post specific items that they would like to be developed. This is not intended for members to post items such as "I wish someone would invent a time machine so I could go back a week and win the lottery". The idea of the Wishlist is for members to post real requirements, for example:
- A manufacturer might have a specific requirement for a machine to automate a specific process. An inventor or engineer could then contact the manufacturer and discuss how they could work together.
- An inventor may have an idea but not the ability to develop it further, or may require assistance with a specific component required for their invention. Other members could contact the inventor and discuss how they can work together, perhaps on the basis of a partnership or simply a paid development.
In the course of developing products we have found that many other ideas emerge during the development process. We have also discovered that a number of potential clients for our inventions have asked if we can develop something else for their market sector. We feel that the Wishlist has the potential to bring the community together with industry to develop products where a real need exists. As members start to post items to the Wishlist (from your 'Create Content' menu item) we will further develop the search mechanism to enable a degree of automated matching between the Wishlist requirements and our members stated specialisms and interests, which will include the free Directory Listings submitted by our Service Supplier members.
Can we take this opportunity to remind everyone that membership is FREE and we hope to keep it that way. This inventors community exists to help everyone work together, avoid the scams and numerous paid 'services' out there and get their ideas developed and to market. Get posting, build partnerships and help to develop your community by telling us where we can improve and what features you would like to see further developed or introduced.

Interesting idea! I play a little bit of guitar myself and I know exactly the problem you have described...
I have added this as a Wishlist item and will get these listed on the site shortly. For anyone else reading this thread, if you have an item that you would like to see invented then please create a Wishlist item.

Invention: tab/document/lyrics display
well i as you would know a pda is a touch screen mini computer that is about 90% screen. and as a guitar player i hate having to stop laying lean over and flip over the tab page and some times the page flicking back over or wind blowing the page off so i was thinking af a tab displayer very similiar to a pda except not at intelligent but an A4 sized pda thatconnect toy our computer allowing you to upload tabs so that you can easily change tabs on a handy "pda" tab displayer with a touch screen menu with as little functions of next page, previous page, up,down and menu buttons which would save a lot of time and be very handy even at night as the screen would be lit so you could easily see the page this could be used for alot of things with maybe ven attatchments available to it such as a keyboard to creat your own doucuments and save them. im not asking for a whole computer but only a A4 sized screen mini computer that allows you to do them functions.
